About Us
Willow and Grace was founded in 2017 by Marie and Donna, who have been friends for over 20 years! The two women complement each other perfectly; whilst Donna deals with the accounts and admin side of the business, Marie is the face of Willow and Grace, greeting brides and guiding them through their dress shopping journey. When you visit, Marie's technical knowledge, fashion expertise and style offers a reassuring presence and warm, friendly experience.
The Boutique
Willow and Grace is located in Market Deeping, close to Stamford. When you arrive at the historic market town, you're greeted by beautiful architecture with quaint coffee shops and boutiques along the side of the River Welland.
The shop is small and intimate, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We know how anxious some brides can feel at their first wedding dress appointment, so this small space allows us to keep every appointment private; the locked door policy ensures that you will never be disturbed.
Wedding Dress Shopping at Willow and Grace
What to expect, in 5 easy steps. We know every bride is different, so these may differ slightly, but hopefully this guide will give you a rough idea about what happens, and when! As a small business, we don't have an in-house alterations atelier, however we do have wonderful seamstresses that we highly recommend.
1 - First Visit
Your first visit to the boutique. The bride and up to 2 trusted guests are invited into our intimate space, where our locked door policy ensures that your appointment is exclusive and private. Before your visit, you'll have filled in a pre-appointment questionnaire, which will inform your stylist all about your wedding plans. This enables us to pre select a variety of styles for you, based on venue, weather, location and your personal preferences, allowing us to make the most of your 90 minute appointment time!
2 - Second Visit
After your first visit, once you've gone home to consider the wedding dresses you've tried on, you'll be invited to come along for a second appointment. If you need a second visit, this will last for 1 hour, when you can retry your favourites from the first appointment.
3 - Collection Appointment
After you choose your dress, we'll place the order with the designer, who will then create your beautiful wedding dress. When it arrives, you'll be invited along to see your actual dress for the first time! You'll be able to try it on, and our stylist will provide you with alteration recommendations, as well as details for our trusted seamstresses. You can then take the dress away to be fitted.
4 - Accessory and Styling
Approximately 2-4 months before your wedding, around the same times as your alterations are taking place, you are invited to attend the boutique for an accessory and styling appointment. During this visit, you can try on veils, jewellery and accessories. This is an exciting time, when your final look finally starts to come together!
5 - Final appointment
Only one week until the big day! It's time to bring your dress back to Willow and Grace for a professional steam to ensure your dress is perfectly wrinkle-free and ready to go.
6 - Get Married!
